CUPE 905 represents over 4300 members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, the public sector union representing over 455,000 workers nation wide. In many ways, CUPE Local 905 operates as a federation of local units all with equal input at the executive level. This provides a wide level of democracy and grassroots representation over many diverse sectors.
