Disruptions may come to Richmond Hill parks and community centres as city and employees move toward lockout or strike

A union representing Richmond Hill municipal workers said residents may face service disruptions later this month as a strike or lockout becomes possible.

The city requested a no board report this week from Ontario’s labour ministry and said its contract negotiations with the Richmond Hill unit of Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 905 are at an impasse.
